The team started their day with a 10 minute meditation at the Aphiwe community centre. During the morning session before lunch Sister Donna May gave a sewing class and the ladies that attended really had great fun. Sisters Liezl, Sue, Julie and Samantha visited four crèches and gave well prepared Bible classes to all the kids. The activities were cleverly prepared so that each kid could participate and Bible stories formed the basis of the lessons given. Meanwhile the brethren (Steve, Andrew, Yoni, Hendri, Richard and Roly) were hard at work with preparations to build a wall for Rebecca at her crèche.
After a well deserved lunch the brethren continued building the wall at Rebecca's crèche. Bro. Adrian led a lunch time Bible class and 8 students attended. One of the students (Raizah) stayed for another hour afterwards to continue to chat to Bro. Adrian about Bible related matters. Sister Sue and Donna-May "manned" the Kiosk. Sisters Leona, Julie and Samantha rushed into town to buy food for the food distribution project. The lunch time Bible class was followed by a "how to do a professional CV" course presented by sister Leah and bro. Dan. Next up was the feeding scheme at the Festival parking lot where the team dished up food to a long queue of hungry people.
Everybody traveled back to the community centre for supper which was followed by the Aphiwe night time Bible class and a whopping 18 students turned up. Bro. Andrew Russell led the class and there was a fantastic vibe and lots of discussion. When everybody finally arrives back home after 10pm there was no encouragement needed to get some good sleep after an jam packed and fruitful day. We are continually amazed at the energy God gives us to work for Him.
With grateful hearts
